"You will never find another Lab Ash working harder in the world."
"We are still using the Lab Ash, almost trouble free, even in our hard environment. That is a rugged equipment,...... except the beakers, but nobody is perfect."
Raul Portillo, Regional Representative, CFE, Mexico.

"We bought one Ash Probe from Bretby Gammatech to see how it worked in our coals, and we found it very accurate. Then we bought four more Ash Probes, one for each of our coal prep. plants and one Lab Ash with very good results.
They are used to check the ash content of our coal and coal deliveries to our coke plants.
We are so happy with those instruments because we can control the coal ash content very quick in order to achieve a good quality of our products: coal and coke".
Martha Para, C.I. MILPA SA, Colombia
(Note this success prompted C.I. MILPA S.A. to become our Distributor in Colombia)

"Celtic Energy purchased a Ash Probe from Bretby Gammatech about 5 years ago ... following a successful demonstration and trial at our Margam site. We have been using it to control the blending of coal there to meet customer requirements.
The machine gives results that compare well with customer samples that are taken for commercial purposes, the results are usually within 1% or less of the commercial result.
The machine is easy to use by staff with no scientific background, and is fairly robust if handled reasonably. If there are any problems it is fairly easy to fix (the breakdowns we have had have been either boards coming loose, switch needing replacing or the wires coming off in the cable). These were due to bad handling on our part rather than a machine fault.
Due to the success of the Ash Probe at Margam the company recently brought another Ash Probe for use at another of our sites were it is also being used to control a blending operation."
Jim Evans, Laboratory Manager, Celtic Energy, South Wales

"Vang Danh Co mine bought the first Ash Probe in summer 2004. It is very accurate instrument. We use it to measure and control the ash of all our products before sale to customer very quickly.
STS and Bretby Gammatech give very quick maintenance service.
Later we bought another Ash Probe - we now have two Ash Probes.
We use each nearly 800 times a day! Very Happy."
Mr Hien, Manager of Coal Quality at Vang Danh Mine in Quang Ninh Province in North Eastern Vietnam.

"The ash probe is used to determine ash content at our crushed clean coal stockpiles.
The Ash Probe delivers ash readings within an accuracy of 1% (when compared with laboratory assays) and precision of 0.5% ash.
We find the ash probe very portable, accurate and easy to use."
Ron Woo, Mine Engineer Brule Mine, Western Canadian Coal.
